The \u2018Strategy of Latin America\u2019 OranjeBTC Expands Holdings With $1.94M Bitcoin Purchase<\/a><\/p>\n

OranjeBTC has acquired an additional 16 BTC for roughly $1.94 million at an average price of $121,058 per Bitcoin, bringing its year-to-date Bitcoin yield to 1.5% in 2025.<\/p>\n

As of October 13, the OranjeBTC now holds<\/a> 3,691 BTC, accumulated for approximately $389.07 million \u2014 an average cost basis of $105,412 per coin.<\/p>\n

Brazil\u2019s First Pure-Bitcoin Public Company<\/h2>\n

OranjeBTC began trading<\/a> last week on B3, the S\u00e3o Paulo\u2013based exchange that anchors Latin America\u2019s capital markets.<\/p>\n

Backed by some of the biggest names in global crypto, OranjeBTC entered public markets holding 3,675 BTC \u2014 now 3,691 \u2014 instantly becoming the region\u2019s largest corporate Bitcoin holder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cStrategy of Latin America\u201d<\/h2>\n

The company\u2019s model closely mirrors Strategy\u2019s playbook in the United States: issue convertible debt, raise capital, and buy Bitcoin.<\/p>\n

Just today, Strategy announced<\/a> the purchase of 220 BTC for $27.2 million at an average price of $123,561 per coin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Strategy now holds 640,250 BTC \u2014 about 3.1% of Bitcoin\u2019s total supply \u2014 funded through $27.3 million raised via its recent at-the-market offering.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, OranjeBTC secured<\/a> a $210 million investment from Brazil\u2019s largest bank, Ita\u00fa, through its investment arm Ita\u00fa BBA, positioning its BTC reserves as a long-term strategic asset.<\/p>\n

That financing round also drew heavyweight backers including Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas, FalconX, and Adam Back of Blockstream, alongside U.S. funds Off the Chain Capital and ParaFi Capital.<\/p>\n

Saylor\u2019s early mentor, Eric Weiss, a former Morgan Stanley banker and founder of Blockchain Investment Group, sits on Oranje\u2019s board.<\/p>\n

OranjeBTC\u2019s local Bitcoin education<\/h2>\n

The company is launching an educational platform aimed at teaching shareholders and institutional investors about Bitcoin\u2019s monetary properties \u2014 what it calls a \u201clearning layer\u201d for Brazil\u2019s next generation of savers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to be an information center and help Brazilians and Latin Americans understand what money is, the role of a tangible asset, and how Bitcoin works,\u201d Founder Guilherme Gomes told<\/a> WIRED en Espa\u00f1ol<\/em> in September.<\/p>\n

The listing was executed as a reverse IPO, with OranjeBTC merging into Intergraus, an already-listed entity on B3.<\/p>\n

Following the transaction, roughly 85% of shares will be in free float \u2014 opening the door for both institutional and retail investors to gain direct exposure to a company whose only real product is Bitcoin accumulation.<\/p>\n

B3 launched Bitcoin futures in 2022 and explored crypto custody services soon after.<\/p>\n
