To put that into perspective, the previous record-holder\u2014SPDR Gold Shares (GLD)\u2014took 1,691 days to reach the same milestone. \u201c5x faster than the old record held by GLD of 1,691 days,\u201d Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas wrote<\/a> in a post on X. Other ETFs like VOO (1,701 days), IEFA (1,773 days), and IEMG (2,063 days) also lag far behind IBIT\u2019s rapid growth.<\/p>\n

The explosive rise in IBIT\u2019s AUM coincides with Bitcoin\u2019s continued rally. At the time of reporting, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading above $108,000, up more than 2.06%, and sitting just under 4% below its all-time high of nearly $112,000 set last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

BlackRock\u2019s accumulation strategy has placed it at the forefront of institutional Bitcoin investment. According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence,<\/a> the firm now holds over 663,000 bitcoin\u2014more than Michael Saylor\u2019s MicroStrategy, which famously owns 582,000 BTC.\u00a0<\/p>\n
