Adam Back Presents Blockstream\u2019s Bitcoin-First Infrastructure Vision at Bitcoin 2025\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Adam Back<\/a>, Co-founder and CEO of Blockstream,<\/a> took the stage at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference<\/a> with a clear message: Bitcoin<\/a> is becoming the foundation of global finance\u2014and Blockstream is building the infrastructure to support it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I think Bitcoin is still early,\u201d Back began, \u201cbut more mainstream players are starting to become involved. It is starting to become the foundation of global finance.\u201d From El Salvador\u2019s President becoming \u201cpatient zero\u201d to institutional adoption spreading rapidly, Back emphasized that \u201cpeople in all layers of company management and politics have become orange-pilled.\u201d <\/p>\n

Citing Bitcoin\u2019s accelerating growth trajectory, Back referenced Hal Finney\u2019s prediction that Bitcoin\u2019s addressable market could hit $200 trillion. \u201cToday, we are a lot closer to that situation,\u201d he noted. He alluded again that this is just the beginning for Bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To meet that growing demand, Back announced Blockstream\u2019s plan to support the journey from 100 million to 1 billion users by simplifying self-custody and Bitcoin-native asset management. \u201cWe\u2019re laser-focused on Bitcoin<\/a>,\u201d he said. \u201cAt Blockstream, we are here to provide the infrastructure to enable that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a detailed presentation, Back outlined five core pillars powering Blockstream\u2019s strategy:<\/p>\n

Infrastructure Expansion: \u201cBitcoin is becoming the dominant financial asset and platform for global transactions. Blockstream enables and supports the infrastructure around it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unified Platform: Blockstream is developing one platform built for the Bitcoin economy\u2014including consumer products (secure self-custody), enterprise solutions (asset transfer on Bitcoin rails), and institutional integration (custody for large-scale investment).<\/p>\n

The Blockstream App: Designed to streamline self-custody, the app simplifies onboarding, supports BTC, LBTC, and USDT, and offers advanced features for experienced users.<\/p>\n

Enterprise Tools: With custody, tokenization without smart contract risks, and SDK\/API-ready infrastructure, Blockstream is pushing enterprise-grade Bitcoin use cases\u2014from corporate finance to treasuries.<\/p>\n

Security and Ecosystem Design: \u201cSecure, proven, and built to last,\u201d Back said, referring to Blockstream\u2019s Bitcoin-first architecture. \u201cSecurity is our cornerstone, and every product connects at every layer.\u201d<\/p>\n

In closing, Back reaffirmed his long-term vision: \u201cThe future of finance runs on Bitcoin.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
