In a headline speech at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference<\/a> today, U.S. Vice President JD Vance<\/a> declared Bitcoin\u2019s growing role<\/a> in national policy and promised a new era of federal support under the Trump administration. \u201cIt\u2019s great to be here with Bitcoin<\/a> at $108k and to be the Vice President of the United States,\u201d Vance opened. \u201cThis isn\u2019t a conference of people. This is a movement.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thanking David Bailey, and key figures like Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Vance emphasized, \u201cThey took a big step and everyone else followed.\u201d He also shouted out Coinbase for their participation at the event as well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In sharp contrast to past administrations, Vance was clear: \u201cWhat we\u2019ve done in the Trump administration in digital asset policy is only the beginning. Crypto finally has a champion and an ally in the White House.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Vance underscored the grassroots energy of the Bitcoin community: \u201cThis gets decided by the people, by you\u2014not unelected bureaucrats.\u201d<\/p>\n

He laid out three key priorities for the administration, the first being Widespread Adoption \u2013 \u201cFifty million Americans own Bitcoin<\/a>. I think it\u2019s gonna be 100 million before too long.\u201d The second being Legislative Support\u2013 \u201cWe are optimistic the Senate will pass the clean GENIUS Act. Stablecoins don\u2019t threaten the U.S. dollar\u2014they\u2019re a force multiplier for the economic mission.\u201d And third, Clear Regulation \u2013 \u201cWe need a transparent regulatory framework that incorporates Bitcoin into the mainstream economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referencing broader concerns about institutional overreach, Vance said, \u201cCrypto is a hedge against bad policymaking in Washington.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Promising protection and partnership from Washington, he vowed, \u201cYou deserve respect and support from your government\u2014not bureaucrats trying to tear you down. We are ending the weaponization of federal agencies against this community.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Vance concluded stating, \u201cBitcoin is digital gold<\/a>, but none of you are\u2014unless you get involved,\u201d discussing how Bitcoin is here to stay, but only if the American people get involved and build the industry. \u201cWhere Bitcoin is going is strategically important to the U.S. We\u2019re gonna make the right decisions, and that depends on you being a part of the conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The message that Vance made was abundantly clear. Bitcoin is in the hands of the American people, and it is up to the citizens to make a lasting impact with it. <\/p>\n
