Steak \u2018n Shake Reveals Bitcoin Payment Success at Bitcoin 2025 Conference<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking at the Bitcoin 2025 Conference<\/a> this morning, Steak \u2018n Shake<\/a> executive Dan Edwards shared new data and insights from the company\u2019s recent move<\/a> to accept Bitcoin<\/a> payments globally via the Lightning Network<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOn May 16, we began accepting Bitcoin as payment in all of our locations where permitted to do so by law,\u201d Edwards began. \u201cThis is a global implementation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Edwards, Bitcoin transactions are already outperforming expectations. \u201cThe day we launched Bitcoin, 1 out of every 500 bitcoin transactions in the world happened at Steak \u2018n Shake,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steak \u2018n Shake is also saving significantly on processing fees. \u201cBitcoin is faster than credit cards, and when customers choose to pay in Bitcoin, we\u2019re saving 50% in processing fees,\u201d said Edwards. \u201cThat makes Bitcoin a win for the customer, a win for us, and a win for the Bitcoin community.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the decision was not a publicity stunt, but a serious payment upgrade. \u201cWe didn\u2019t see this as a marketing gimmick. We saw it as a viable option to pay\u2014on par with other globally accepted methods.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company reports that customer behavior has already shifted. \u201cWe\u2019ve seen a sustained spike since adding Bitcoin,\u201d Edwards noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Edwards also teased the company\u2019s future plans, calling for more technical talent. \u201cWe\u2019re not done. We\u2019re investing in cyber chefs, autonomous drives, AI tech\u2014and we need engineers to help us build it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

To celebrate Bitcoin integration, limited-edition Bitcoin-themed menu items are launching this week in Las Vegas, including the Bitcoin Burger, Super-Sized Bitcoin Meal, and Bitcoin Milkshake. A \u201cblockchain menu\u201d is also in the works.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCelebrate the use of Bitcoin,\u201d Edwards concluded. \u201cBecause this is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n
