US President Donald Trump\u2019s son Eric Trump has joined the board of advisors of Japan-based Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet.
\nMetaplanet announced the appointment on March 21,2025, noting Eric will help drive the company\u2019s Bitcoin strategy.

Eric Trump, the son of U.S. president Donald Trump, has joined Metaplanet Inc., a Japanese publicly traded company that\u2019s listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, as an advisor.<\/p>\n
Metaplanet announced<\/a> on March 21, 2025 that Eric Trump has joined its newly formed Strategic Board of Advisors \u201ceffective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the company, a prolific buyer of Bitcoin (BTC), the appointment of Trump is part of its ambition to drive BTC adoption. The strategic board of advisors are set to play a huge role in Metaplanet\u2019s Bitcoin treasury strategy.<\/p>\n Eric Trump is the executive vice president of The Trump Organization, and one of the Trump family\u2019s most vocal supporters of Bitcoin and crypto. The BTC buy on Mar. 18 saw the company scoop 150 bitcoin coins worth about 1.8 billion yen, or about $12.5 million.<\/p>\n Eric Trump, a key figure in the decentralized finance project World Liberty Financial, has in the past touted Bbitcoin and Ethereum as top investment opportunities,<\/p>\n BTC trades around $83k today, having struggled since dipping from its all-time of $109k.
